The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia's (IRB) newly-launched Monitoring Deliberate Tax Defaulters (MDTD) programme will track taxpayers identified as non-compliant.

PUTRAJAYA: Tax payers who receive letters or email from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) in relation to the Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme need not worry but instead contact the revenue collection department to seek further clarification.

IRB chief executive officer Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah said among the criteria of taxpayers who would receive the letters or emails are registered taxpayers who have yet to submit their Income Tax Return Form, Petroleum Return Form/Real Property Gains Tax Return Form and registered taxpayers who have failed to submit their income tax return forms in a regular manner. – Bernama
