Scomi set to gain RM9.5mil from unit sale


Scomi Energy said the proceeds from the sale would be utilised for working capital requirements and repayment of borrowings of the group.

PETALING JAYA: Scomi Energy Services Bhd is expected to make a gain of US$2.3mil (RM9.5mil) from its divestment of unit Scomi Anticor SAS.

The oil and gas and coal industries services provider said wholly owned subsidiary Scomi Sosma Sdn Bhd had, on Jan 25, inked a sale and purchase agreement to sell its entire stake in Scomi Anticor to a German company, Vink + Co GMBH Handelsgesellschaft UND CO.KG, for US$3.7mil cash.
