Tropicana’s Tycoon Danny Tan makes a comeback


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Tan(pic), who has more than 55% stake in Tropicana, was said to have been appointed as executive vice-chairman. Subsequently, Tropicana announced its proposed acquisitions worth some RM1.85bil involving 12 agreements that would see 1,116.88 acres of land being injected into the company.

PETALING JAYA: Tycoon Tan Sri Danny Tan Chee Sing is taking back the reigns of Tropicana Corp Bhd with a bang after more than a three-year hiatus.

Tan, 64, who is the founder and major shareholder of the property development company, announced his return with a proposed asset injection of RM1.85bil.
