Quick take: Mesiniaga extends rally


KUALA LUMPUR: Mesiniaga Bhd extended its rally on Wednesday on news of its RM1.9bil Malaysian International Internet Gateway (EM-IIG) project.

At 9.27am, the counter rose 29 sen or 19.33% to RM1.79 a share on 619,600 shares done.

In the previous session, the stock's share price had hit limit up after surging to a four-year high.

On Jan 18, Mesiniaga said it has secured a RM1.9bil contract for the EM-IIG project undertaken by Xiddig Cellular Communications Sdn Bhd.

Mesiniaga said the contract is for the commissioning of the core, metro distribution and access network with related support systems for the EM-IIG project.

The contract has been effective from the date of the announcement and will end on March 31, 2020.
