Trading ideas: Mesiniaga, MRCB, GKent, Inix, Eastland


KUALA LUMPUR: Mesinaga Bhd, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB), George Kent (M) Bhd, Inix Technologies Bhd and EASTLAND EQUITY BHD are among the stocks to watch on Tuesday, according to JF Apex Research.


Mesiniaga has secured a RM1.9b contract for the Malaysia International Internet Gateway (EM-IIG) project.


Outstanding payments to the LRT3 (light rail transit 3) contractors, accumulated since February last year, will be settled by the end of this month, said the project’s main contractor, MRCB-George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK).


A boardroom tussle has surfaced at loss-making INIX Technologies Holdings Bhd, which announced today that it will convene an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Feb 13 to remove three directors, and appoint three others as directors.

Meanwhile, US markets were closed for Martin Luther King, Jr holiday but rose on Friday following optimism on the US-China trade negotiations.

“Following the negative performance in Europe, the FBM KLCI could trend sideways and hover below its resistance of 1,710 points,” JF Apex said.
