KUB Malaysia unaware of reason for UMA


Temporary anti-dumping measures on ethanolamine products produced in the Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United States is also being introduced.

KUALA LUMPUR: KUB Malaysia Bhd, which saw its share price surged yesterday, said it was unaware of the reasons for the unusual market activity (UMA). 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Friday, KUB said it had enquired with its directors and major shareholders.

The company said that it was unaware of any development, rumour or any other reason that may have accounted for the UMA.

“We also declare that the company is in compliance with the Listing Requirements (LR), in particular Rule 9.03 of the LR on immediate disclosure obligations,” KUB said. 

On Thursday, its share price jumped 56.25%, surging 13.5 sen to 37.5 sen. The counter gained 9.33%, or 3.5 sen to 41 at midday Friday.
