November sales were up 21.5% from the US$31.0bil a year ago.

KUALA LUMPUR: The US-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers industry (Semi) trade body projects total fabrication equipment spending in 2019 is projected to drop by 7.8% to US$55.78bil (RM232.86bil).

This was a sharp reversal from the previously forecast increase of 7% as fabrication investment growth has been revised downward for 2018 to 10% from the 14% predicted in August, according to Semi’s latest edition of the World Fab Forecast Report.
