Govt incentives for exporters

Matrade says the Inter-American Development Bank had last month announced a China Co-financing Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean

KUALA TERENGGANU: Exporting companies have been urged to explore government incentives and financial assistance provided via the Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade).

Construction and business services division director Datin Rusiah Mohamed said they included the services export fund, which provides reimbursable grants and soft loans to Malaysian service providers.

“Grants and loans which are disbursed can go up to RM3mil per company for the five-year period from 2015-2020. Matrade also provides market development grants of up to RM200,000 per company for small and medium enterprises,” she said. — Bernama
