Crowdfunding platform to cater for some homebuyers

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has said earlier that the FundMyHome scheme, touted the first of its kind in the world, will help the government to deliver its promise to build one million houses in 10 years.

PETALING JAYA: Peer-to-peer crowdfunding platform FundMyHome was designed to cater for only some potential homebuyers and not all, according to its operator EdgeProp Sdn Bhd.

The operator said the scheme only suits individuals who do not have access to a bank mortgage, are willing to share their capital gains and are wanting to mitigate potential loss.
