EPF extends Nasir’s term as deputy CEO

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) board, with the approval of the Finance Ministry, has agreed to extend Datuk Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif’s term as its deputy chief executive officer (investment) until Dec 31, 2019.

Mohamad Nasir, who was due for retirement tomorrow, has held this post since April 15, 2013.

The EPF said in a statement that the decision to extend Mohamad Nasir’s tenure was to ensure continuity in the EPF’s investment division and enable a smooth succession plan.

Mohamad Nasir’s career in the EPF started in 1982, where he has held several positions prior to his current post.

He is also a board member of Sime Darby Plantation Bhd, PLUS Malaysia Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, the Battersea Project Company Ltd and Yarra Park City Pty Ltd.
