Dialog earnings down 29% to RM114.64mil in first quarter on lower revenue


CIMB Equities Research expects Dialog Group Bhd to deliver strong earnings growth from next year onwards.

PETALING JAYA: Dialog Group Bhd’s net profit fell 28.8% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM114.64mil for its first quarter ended Sept 30, 2018 from RM160.93mil in the corresponding quarter last year on lower revenue and the absence of fair value gain.

During the quarter in review, the oil and gas services provider saw its revenue fall 11.3% y-o-y to RM690.89mil from RM778.66mil, while its earnings per share slid to 2.03 sen from 2.86 sen.
