Foreign funds net sellers on Bursa at RM182.9mil in week ended Nov 9


Market breadth was overwhelmingly negative to the tune of 727 to 170, with 330 counters unchanged. Out of the 100 FBM KLCI stocks, only four headed north.

KUALA LUMPUR: Foreign funds were net sellers on Bursa Malaysia in the week ended Nov 9 at RM182.90mil and raised the total net outflow since January to RM9.9bil, according to MIDF Research.

It said on Monday the net selling last week was more than half the amount accumulated in the preceding week.

Monday saw a staggering outflow of -RM378.6mil net, the highest in a day since July 6, 2018 as investors cashed in gains ahead of the Deepavali holiday on Tuesday. 

It should be noted that Genting Malaysia hit limit-down in reaction to the Budget 2019's proposed higher taxes.
