EPF deputy CEO for investment's tenure extended another year

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund's (EPF) deputy chief executive officer (investment) Datuk Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif’s tenure has been extended another year to end-December 2019.

The EPF said on Monday the board, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance,  agreed to extend his term to ensure continuity in the EPF’s investment division and enable a smooth succession plan.

Mohamad Nasir held this role since April 15, 2013, and was due to retire on Nov 14,  2018. 

He joined the EPF in 1982 where he has held several positions before being promoted as deputy chief executive officer for the investment division. 

He previously held positions as state enforcement officer (1990-1995), senior research officer, manager and senior manager in the investment and economics research department (1995-2003) and general manager of the international equity investment department (2009-2013).

Mohamad Nasir is currently a board member of Sime Darby Plantation Bhd, PLUS Malaysia Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, the Battersea Project Company Limited and Yarra Park City Pty Ltd.
