Earnings risks seen for PetGas from next year

The subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that its bottom line for the quarter increased to RM509.33mil compared with RM425.33mil a year earlier.

PETALING JAYA: Despite its decent dividend yield, Petronas Gas Bhd’s (PetGas) earnings could come under pressure from next year onwards, says CIMB Research.

The brokerage said earnings risks could arise beyond its financial year (FY) ending Dec 31, 2018, as a result of tariff revision under the third-party access (TPA).
