PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd’s (Maybank) Indonesian unit, PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk, saw its net profit rising 3.4% to 1.5 trillion rupiah (RM412.4mil) for the nine months ended Sept 30, driven mainly by a higher net interest income and improvement in the provisioning level.
Maybank said recurring pre-tax profit increased 19% year-on-year (y-o-y) after eliminating exceptional one-off proceeds, mainly from the sale of securities in 2017.
