Miti secures RM806mil Japan investments


Of the remainder, RM355mil was from Daikin for its new factory and RM297mil was from Dai-ichi Seiko Co Ltd. which will manufacture plastic parts for automotive sensors here.

KUALA LUMPUR: The International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) secured RM806 mil worth of investments from Tokyo and Osaka during the four-day trade and investment mission to Japan from Oct 14 to 17.

In a statement, Miti said RM80mil came from Japan Lifeline Co. Ltd which will build its first factory outside of Japan at the North Penang Science Park and RM74mil came from Daiwa House Industry Co Ltd which will construct a logistics facility with cold storage services in Malaysia.
