CIMB receives outstanding capabilities awards


CIMB Group is the fifth largest banking group in Asean (by assets), with an extensive regional footprint and a commendable universal-banking franchise.

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group (CIMB) picked up six awards at the Alpha Southeast Asia 12th Annual Best Financial Institution Awards and another two at the Asiamoney Best Bank Awards (Malaysia) 2018.

The accolades were for outstanding capabilities in investment banking, trade finance and the SME segments.

CIMB’s awards from Alpha Southeast Asia included Best Equity House (Malaysia), Best Institutional Broker (Indonesia), Best Retail Broker (Indonesia) and Best Islamic Finance Consumer Bank (Malaysia). 

The awards from Asiamoney were in the Best Corporate and Investment Bank, as well as Best SME Bank categories.

CIMB group chief executive, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz, said in a statement today: “We are honoured to receive these awards which are a testament to CIMB’s strong, established in-house capabilities, deep ASEAN expertise and continued commitment to deliver the best banking and financing solutions to our clients.” - Bernama
