KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara sees the adoption of value-based intermediation (VBI) as a significant step forward in identifying Islamic finance with sustainable practices.

Bank Negara governor Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus said at the Global Islamic Finance Forum 2018 yesterday that VBI would have a significant impact on the business models of Islamic financial institutions, including the drivers of profitability and risks.
