KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Wednesday include Key Asic, GDex, Malakoff, DRB-Hicom and Mega First Corp, said JF Apex Research.
Key Asic is mulling a share capital reducion of RM46mil to eliminate accumulated losses and rationalise its statement of financial position.
GDex has acquired a 44.5% stake in PT Satria Anatran Prima TBK via an initial public offering for RM25.8mil.
Malakoff has received shareholders' approval to acquire a 97.37% equity interest in Alam Flora Sdn Bhd from DRB-Hicom, which entails the former's diversification into environmental-related services.
Mega First will receive RM28.79mil as compensation from Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd, which will have a positive impoact on the earnings and net assets for teh financial year ending Dec 31, 2018.
Overnight, US markets ended mixed with the Dow hitting a record high after Canada agreed to a trade deal with the US and Mexico.
The 30-stock index closed 0.5% higher to 26,773.94, the S&P 500 closed flat at 2,923.43 while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.5% to 7,999.55.
Earlier, European stocks tumbled following political uncertainty in Italy.
