CIMB launches regional preferred service for wealthy clients

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd have launched their Regional CIMB Preferred programme Asean-wide aimed at its affluent segment.

In a statement today, CIMB said the programme would allow its affluent customers to enjoy enhanced banking convenience and privileges across six countries in Asean, regardless of where their domiciled account is located.

CIMB Group, Group Consumer Banking Chief Executive Officer Samir Gupta said the benefits of the Regional CIMB Preferred included seamless cross-border account opening in any country for an account in a different destination country, free fund transfers, lower foreign exchange rates and priority banking service at 120 CIMB Preferred Centres and 1,100 CIMB branches in the Asean region.  “We are the only Malaysian bank providing Preferred membership across Asean without the minimum requirement of asset under management in countries outside the customer's domicile,” he said.

Samir said CIMB remained focused on providing the best value propositions to its customers across the region.

“The Regional CIMB Preferred proposition is a result of substantial investments in cutting-edge systems and processes, to enable us to better leverage our strong Asean network,” he added. - Bernama
