THE Malaysian economy has moderated to its slowest pace in five quarters, registering an annual rate of 4.5% in the second quarter from 5.4% in the first quarter.
This was dragged down by contractions in mining (natural gas production disruption) and agriculture (palm oil and rubber) sectors as well as a big decline in public investment.
