PwC alarmed by frauds committed by senior management

KUALA LUMPUR: A survey has found that 69% of the most damaging frauds suffered by Malaysian businesses are committed by its own employees, of which 32% is by senior management.

This was above the global average, whereby businesses reported that 52% of the acts were by fraudsters within the organisation, of which 24% was by senior management, according to the Malaysian cut of the PwC Global Economic Crime and Fraud Survey 2018.
