BHIC looks beyond shipbuilding after Q2 profit drops


KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd is looking to expand beyond its core naval shipbuilding and ship repair business after earnings in the second quarter fell.

Net profit in the three months ended June 30 dropped by more than two third to RM7.2mil compared with RM23.9mil made a year ago. Revenue improved 12% to RM49.16mil.
