KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) 2018, hosted by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), will be an informative gathering for the electricity supply industry players, keen to get an insight on best practices to overcome challenges facing the industry.
Participants will get the opportunity to listen to renowned international and local experts who will share their knowledge and experience on several topics related to Reimagining Utility of the Future, the theme of CEPSI 2018.
The theme underpins the industry's transformation to cope with challenges from technology disruption, economic shifts, evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements, and increasing customer expectations, TNB said in a statement.
With around 550 technical papers, 15 well-known keynote speakers and about 150 exhibitors, CEPSI 2018 would generate fruitful discussions and establish meaningful networkings among delegates from more than 30 countries.
Over 1,500 delegates are expected to participate in CEPSI 2018, to be held from Sept 17-22 at the KL Convention Centre, it said.
TNB would host the 22nd CEPSI on behalf of the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific.
Since its inception in 1976 in Hong Kong, CEPSI has grown in stature as a key international meeting point for power industry companies, utility leaders, industry professionals and experts from all over the world to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
TNB has secured 27 sponsorship deals for CEPSI 2018.
The two latest sponsors are IBM, one of the world’s largest information technology companies and Rohas Tecnic Bhd , Malaysia’s largest producer of lattice and monopole towers. — Bernama
