PETALING JAYA: The government needs to be clear about its plans for a national automotive policy and avoid resorting to protectionism again, according to the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (Ideas).
Its economist Adli Amirullah also challenged the claim that the country’s car industry was at an “infant” stage.
