KUALA LUMPUR: Perunding Ranhill Worley Sdn Bhd (PRW) has secured a three-year contract from Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company (KPOC) to provide engineering support and design services.
PRW said on Wednesday the contract, which was signed on June 28, was to provide the specialised services to the KPOC-Kebabangan (KBB) Northern Hub Platform. The contract value was not disclosed.
KPOC is a joint operating company where Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd holds a 40% stake while Conoco Philips Sabah Gas Ltd and Shell Energy Asia Ltd own a 30% stake each.
“The contract which spans three years with an option to extend by one year, will encompass the provision of engineering and design services. Works to be executed include special engineering studies, conceptual engineering, basic engineering and detailed engineering support,” it said.
PRW chief executive officer Mohamad Embong said over the years, the company has consistently proven its capacity to deliver high standards of engineering support services in the sector.
“We are honoured by KPOC’s recognition of our experience and track record. Today’s signing ceremony also marks a significant milestone for us as we commence our expansion into Sabah as part of PRW’s long-term growth strategy,” he said.
PRW is an associate of Ranhill Group and Australia's WorleyParsons Ltd.
Among those present at the signing ceremony on June 28 were PRW general manager Muhammad Shahrir Zubir; PRW director Datuk Abdullah Karim and senior project manager Adnan Zain.
KPOC was represented by its CEO Mohd Tarmizi Munir; general manager, development Steven K. Whiteside and senior manager, supply chain Shamsol Bahri.
