Kenanga: Some bank stocks have undemanding valuations


Maybank Investment Bank Research (Maybank IB) in a research note yesterday said it expects the operating environment to be moderate in 2019 - but with prevailing challenges.

PETALING JAYA: The sentiment on Malaysia’s banking sector remains “neutral” in the second half of 2018, although several banking stocks continue to offer attractive value propositions.

The lack of concrete catalysts and the absence of excepted change in fundamentals are among the key underlying factors that kept the domestic banking industry in the neutral territory.
