Forensic audit on Versatile to be completed in three weeks

KUALA LUMPUR: Versatile Creative Bhd, which has uncovered possible fraud in the company, said the investigation and forensics audit has commenced on July 3.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Versatile, a packaging firm, said the investigation and forensics audit was expected to be completed within three weeks from the commencement date. 

On Tuesday, the company said it had appointed Crowe Malaysia to carry out a forensics audit. The board had also suspended managing director and his chief financial officer to facilitate the investigation.

The company said the financial irregularities involved unauthorised payments to third parties between August 2017 and June 2018.
