SYDNEY: A ratcheting up of global trade tensions has convinced one of Australia’s biggest fund managers to pile into US Treasuries and the yen, and sell the Australian and New Zealand dollars.
Brisbane-based money manager QIC Ltd, which oversees the equivalent of US$74bil, isn’t waiting for the July 6 deadline when the US has pledged to boost tariffs on China.
