Short selling of Kretam suspended after hitting limit down


KUALA LUMPUR:  The proprietary day trading (PDT) and intra-day short selling (IDSS) activities were suspended from 9.09am on Monday after it hit limit-down.

At 9.09am, shares of the plantation company was down 30 sen to 39.5 sen with 2.24 million shares traded.

The FBM KLCI was down 21.42 points or 1.22% to 1,740.36. Turnover was nearly 170 million shares valued at RM131.31mil. There were 77 gainers, 282 losers and 185 counters unchanged.

Bursa Malaysia Securities suspended the PDT and IDSS for the rest of Monday as the last done price fell more than 15 sen or 15% from the reference price.

The activities will only resume on Tuesday at 8.30am.
