The stock hit a high of RM4.02 in early trade, up 2.81%, or 11 sen with over 2.1 million shares traded.
Supermax announced that its 70%-owned Japanese unit Aime Supermax KK has been granted the product licence for its contact lenses by the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Authority of Japan.
Supermax said a formal notification was received by Aime KK, which is 100% owned by Aime Supermax.
