PETALING JAYA: Pay-TV operator Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s share price surged by about 14%, following a news report on possible privatisation by its billionaire owner T. Ananda Krishnan (pic).
The stock, which has been on a downtrend for the past seven months, jumped by 23 sen to RM1.83 as trade closed. Nearly 19.83 million shares changed hands.
