Apandi quits as Tabung Haji director


Apandi(filepic) had been a director since January 2016, while Rosni was appointed to the board in February 2014. Prior to that, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim had also tendered his resignation as chairman of the fund.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has tendered his resignation as Lembaga Tabung Haji director on June 4.

In a statement, Lembaga Tabung Haji Datuk Rosni Sohar has also tendered his resignation on May 23.

Apandi was as director since January 2016 while Rosni was appointed to the board since February 2014.

Prior to that, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has also tendered his resignation as chairman.

His contract was supposed to end in July next year.

Abdul Azeez said his letter was submitted to Tabung Haji’s legal department on May 14.

Tabung Haji has also announced that former Secretary-General of Treasury, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah, is no longer a member of its board of directors.
