High crude oil prices a boon for Hibiscus


Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd MD Dr Kenneth Gerard Pereira(filepic) said the benchmark Brent crude oil, currently trading at US$63 per barrel, was a strong indication of underlying demand due to growing world population.

PETALING JAYA: Higher crude oil prices are a boon for Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd, which saw its net profit jumping almost 13 times in its third quarter to end-March compared to a year ago.

The Brent crude oil price has risen by nearly 75% since June last year to trade at US$75 per barrel.
