PETALING JAYA: Nestlé (M) Bhd has announced the appointment of its new independent non-executive director Datuk Nirmala Menon (pic), following the retirement of independent non-executive directors Toh Puan Aishah Ong and Tan Sri Yong Poh Kon.

In a statement, the food and beverage manufacturer said Nirmala has had extensive experience in the field of insurance services, including prominent positions such as executive vice-president, head of designated markets and health Asia at MetLife Asia Pacific Ltd and head of South-Asia at ING Asia Pacific Ltd.
