Axiata shares tumble 9% on plunge into red


KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Axiata Group Bhd plunged 9% in early trade Wednesday after the the telco swung to a loss in the first quarter ended March 31.

It is currently the biggest loser on Bursa Malaysia. The counter fell 8.88%, or 45 sen to RM4.62 with 835,100 shares traded.
