Ringgit rebounds in offshore trade on smooth Pakatan takeover

KUALA LUMPUR: Offshore forwards for the ringgit advanced, rebounding sharply from their lowest level since December, as the smooth takeover of the government by Pakatan Harapan following the coalition’s historic general election (GE) win soothed nervy investors.

The ringgit one-month non-deliverable forwards (NDF) of the ringgit climbed 1.7% on Friday to 4.0075 per US dollar. just 0.06% from where it was on Tuesday before the GE.
