Aeon Credit gets stay of notices for extra assessment, gets new chairman


In a separate filing, Aeon announced the redesignation of its director, Ng Eng Kiat, to independent and non-executive chairman of the company.

PETALING JAYA: Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd has not been granted a stay of notices for its additional assessment of RM96.8mil from the High Court as of May 8.

“Upon the advice of its solicitors and tax consultants, the company has filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal against the High Court’s decision not to grant a stay on May 8, 2018,” said Aeon in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
