Sumatec down on auditors’ disclaimer of opinion


Taking a hit: Sumatec shares plunge after Grant Thornton Malaysia expressed a disclaimer of opinion on the company’s audited financial statements.

PETALING JAYA: Shares in Sumatec Resources Bhd plunged 23% after its external auditors expressed a disclaimer of opinion on the company’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2017.

At 5pm yesterday, the oil and gas (O&G) company ended 1.5 sen lower to five sen.
