Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz resigned as chairman of Supermax due to personal reasons.

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has resigned as the independent and non-executive chairman of glove maker Supermax Corp Bhd.

A statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday stated that the former International Trade and Industry Minister had resigned due to “personal reasons”.

The statement said the resignation took effect from Saturday.

Meanwhile, Supermax said the resignation did not affect the day-to-day business operations nor the performance of Supermax Group.

The board of directors shall identify a suitable candidate for appointment and will make the necessary announcement in due course, it told Bursa, adding that it was “business as usual” at Supermax.
