Sasbadi wins jobs worth RM5.8mil


PETALING JAYA: Sasbadi Holdings Bhd has bagged contracts from the Education Ministry (MoE) to publish and print science and Chinese language textbooks totalling RM5.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the education materials publisher said its subsidiary Sasbadi Sdn Bhd (SSB) had signed a contract worth RM4.78mil with the MoE to publish and print science textbooks for Form 3 national schools throughout Malaysia.

The contract period would be from April 10, 2018 to Dec 31, 2020, it said.

Separately, Sasbadi said an indirectly-owned subsidiary, The Malaya Press Sdn Bhd, had signed a contract with the MoE to publish and print Chinese language textbooks for Form 3 national schools throughout Malaysia.

The contract, worth RM1.02mil, would also be from April 10, 2018 to Dec 31, 2020.

“Coupled with the textbook contracts won in March 2018, Sasbadi has in 2018 won five textbook contracts valued at RM12.32mil in total when compared to the winning of five textbook contracts valued at RM11.14mil in total in 2017,” it said.
