PETALING JAYA: Maxis Communications Bhd, the parent company of beleaguered Aircel Ltd, has provided Rs 95 crore (RM56.4mil) to help the bankrupt mobile phone operator pay salaries to its around 5,000 employees and tide over immediate operational expenses.
According to India’s Economic Times, the Aircel management has been closely working with Malaysia-headquartered Maxis, owned by businessman T. Ananda Krishnan, for the emergency infusion.
