Metronic Global gets RM50m MRT2 job


The RM50m contract for Metronic Global is more than 125% of its latest annual published consolidated revenue.

KUALA LUMPUR: Metronic Global Bhd received a big boost when it secured a RM50mil contract to undertake the underground works for part of the Mass Rapid Transit 2 (MRT 2).

What is significant for the small-capitalised company is that the RM50m contract is more than 125% of its  latest annual published consolidated revenue.

Metronic Global said it had received the letter of acceptance from the MRT Corporation appointing its unit Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd as the primary contractor.  

The contract encompasses the design, supply, installation, testing and commission of the bulding management system for the underground works for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang Putrajaya.

Metronic Engineering's core business it providing system integration for intelligent building management system and integrated security management system.

The contract started in March and the completion date is July 2021. 

Metronic Engineering had also successfully completed the entire building management system for the KVMRT-Sungai Buloh-Kajang line (MRT1) and achieved the certificate of practical completion on July 17, 2017.
