MAHB to sell Maldives airport stake for RM28.5mil

In a Bursa Malaysia filing yesterday, MAHB said it would book a gain of RM28.5mil from the disposal of GMIAL as the carrying value of the asset had been fully impaired in 2014.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has proposed to dispose of its subsidiary’s entire 23% interest in Maldives’ GMR Male International Airport Ltd (GMIAL), including its receivables and loans, for US$7.3mil (RM28.5mil) cash.
