Jibex to be Thailand's 3rd digital asset exchange


BANGKOK: Thailand will have another digital asset exchange next month with the launch of JIBEX, which is expected to draw deposits worth around 500 million Baht (RM64 million) from 10,000 investors using its e-wallet service.

JIBEX is owned by JIB Computer Group Co Ltd with information technology expert Thuntee Sukchorat listed as among its shareholders.

According to the local media today, the new player would become the country's third digital asset exchange operated by Thais after Bitcoin Co Ltd Thailand's bx.in.th and the smaller Thai Digital Asset Exchange (TDAX).

JIBEX will provide cryptocurrency wallet services during its first phase of operations starting next month before expanding to include other trading functions such as trading bots and e-commerce, wealth management in the later stages.

People who are interested in investing in crypto-assets can open an account using JIBEX wallet.

The wallet will cover the most popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.- Bernama
