TNB calls for abstracts for CEPSI 2018

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is inviting abstract for technical papers to be presented at the upcoming Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) 2018.

TNB is the host for the 22nd CEPSI 2018, which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from September 17-22. The last time TNB hosted CEPSI was in 1996.

“We are accepting abstracts from professionals in the areas of the electricity supply industry. This include those involved in project financing; technology development; policy formulation; renewable energy; software, system design & analytics; environmental impact assessment; and battery storage,” TNB chief corporate officer and AESIEAP 2017/2018 secretary general Datuk Wira Roslan Ab. Rahman said in a statement. 

 TNB said the technical papers should fall under any of the eight identified categories namely sustainability and green energy; generation and future alternatives; transmission and future grid; distribution and advanced network; smart grid and new technology; ICT and innovation; retail and customer service; and business transformation and others.

“Details about the categories and guidelines for submitting the abstracts and papers can be accessed from CEPSI 2018 website. Please submit your abstract by April 16, 2018,” Roslan said. 

He added that selected papers would be presented at the technical sessions of CEPSI 2018. The sessions are for the sharing of case studies, on-site lessons and experiences, overviews of recent technologies and design strategies, and industry best practices.
