US company to invest RM600mil in Segamat plant

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A Dallas-based company is investing RM600mil to set up a plant in Segamat to convert plant-based biomass into fermentable sugars.

The company’s Malaysian outfit, Leaf Malaysia OpCo Sdn Bhd managing director Jason Jones said construction works on the plant would start either in the first or second quarter of next year.
