Petron posts earnings of RM405.2mil in FY17


Improved sales: Petron Malaysia’s sales volume increased by 9 to 34.9 million barrels in 2017 compared to the 32.1 million sold the previous year.

PETALING JAYA: Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd has recorded a net profit of RM405.2mil for its financial year ended Dec 31, 2017 (FY17) on a higher sales volume and oil prices.

The full-year profit was its highest since Petron took over the company and included non-recurring gains amounting to RM65.6mil from a compulsory divestment of service stations that were acquired by the Government.
