Trading ideas: Bina Darulaman, Nestle, Halex, UEM Edgenta

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Bina Darulaman, Nestle, Halex and UEM Edgenta to among the stocks to watch on Wednesday after their corporate news.

It said Bina Darulaman reported a net loss of RM10.42mil in its 4QFY17 results as quarterly revenue tumbled 64.48% on-year.

Nestle posted a record high 4QFY17 net profit of RM133.54mil, doubling from the RM66.94mil reported last year, thanks to continued sustainable cost management.

As for Halex, its net loss narrowed by 70.63% on-year to RM6.21mil in its 4QFY17, from RM21.16mil a year ago, on higher revenue contribution from the agriculture supplies and trading segment.

JF Apex Research pointed out UEM Edgenta announced a special dividend of 18 sen a share, together with a second interim dividend of 5 sen a share after its fourth quarter net profit jumped about 20 times on-year following the disposal of its entire stake in Opus International Consultants Ltd last year.  

Overnight on Wall Street, DJIA fell 254.63 points or 1.01% following losses in consumer counters especially Walmart and political uncertainty. Earlier, European stocks advanced following better-than-expected quarterly results.
 
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI shed 1.33 points to end at1,855.99. 

Following the mixed performance in the US and Europe, the KLCI could remain sideways above the support of 1,840,” said JF Apex Research.
