Ranhill unit in power plant job

KUALA LUMPUR: Ranhill Holdings Bhd said a consortium of companies, in which its subsidiary is a partner, had received a conditional letter of offer (CLoA) from the Energy Commission (EC) to develop a power plant in Sandakan, Sabah.

The CLoA is for the development of a 300MW combined-cycle gas turbine plant, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Ranhill said its wholly owned unit SM Hydro Energy Sdn Bhd is involved, but it did not disclose the other partners in the consortium.
